You are the final villain. Time has frozen. Play your final symphony.

Demanding Life is a browser-based rhythm and synesthesia game created by Finaltime Studios. Upload any MP3 track and watch the engine dissect its audio frequencies in real time, generating dynamic note maps.

Learn to distinguish bass from treble as you fight for your survival.

Freeze Time. Dissect Sound.
The end is inevitable, but your final act will be unforgettable. In Demanding Life, you take on the role of the ultimate villain in your last moments, using your synesthetic powers to freeze time atop a skyscraper. Developed by Finaltime Studios, this project is a hybrid experiment blending game design with musical perception training.

A Math- and Audio-Driven Engine
Unlike traditional rhythm games that rely on pre-programmed maps, Demanding Life generates gameplay in real time from any MP3 or WAV file you add. Powered by the Web Audio API and advanced Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis, the game listens to your music and splits its frequencies into four distinct tracks:

  • Channel 1 (Red): The pulse of the lows (Kicks and Basses).
  • Channel 2 (Yellow): The body of the music (Snares and Mid-Lows).
  • Channel 3 (Blue): The soul of the melody (Vocals and Synths).
  • Channel 4 (Purple): The sparkle (Cymbals and Hi-Hats).

Dynamic Gameplay and Threat Levels
Play on PC using the classic keys (D, F, J, K) or tap directly on the screen on mobile devices. Version 2.0 introduces the "Villain Energy" system: missing notes not only breaks your combo but drains your life and muffles the music. Choose from five Threat Levels (Difficulty), which adjust track speed, hit tolerance, and note density—turning the same song into a relaxing experience or a brutal challenge.

No song is the same. No performance repeats.
Turn up the volume. The stage is yours.
